I draw your oc—2

Hello everyone!

This week, I will be drawing someone’s original character!!

The character I will be drawing today is named Hallie by Cookiez_123.

At first, I was planning on drawing Hallie kneeling near a flower, hand out and using her magic to make it grow, but I decided I would change the view from 3/4 view to front view.

The pose was pretty tricky, so I think that was probably what took me the most time.

First, I drew the rough sketch of what I wanted Hallie to be doing. The hand was pretty tricky in making it point toward the flower.

Originally I had the idea to draw the flower that Hallie was making grow with the ends twisting into her magic or something like that, but after trying this many times I just decided against it and that instead I would just have little wisps of magic coming out of the flower petals.

This was my lineart for the illustration. I do wish the flower’s lineart was thicker, but it was pretty hard to alter it. Also, I used Ibis Paint x’s assets to use their flower as the base.

I had a lot of fun drawing Hallie’s hat. I also enjoy drawing the eyes because they look so big and round.

After drawing the lineart, I went on to coloring Hallie. I had a lot of fun coloring the hair!

I used several different shading styles of different areas of the drawing. For the overalls, I filled them in with a dark blue and then used an airbrush to go over it with a lighter blue. But for her sleeves. I used a fade brush and then went over the sleeves with a darker color.

This is the finished work of art!
