How to color a manga girl

Hello everyone! This week, I will be teaching all of you how to color a manga girl!

The tutorial will include step-by-step instructions, images to follow along with, and much more!

Step One

The first step is to fill in the skin with the base skin tone. Make sure to close any gaps if you see some!

Step Two

Next, go in with a darker color and shade the skin where it should be. Keep in mind the lighting the person is in, where the light is coming from, and so on. If you would like me to create another post on this in greater detail, please let me know in the comments!

Step Three

After oloring the skin, you can now start on the hair. Fill it in with the base color and make sure to close any gaps!

Step Four

Then, add the shading. It is completely up to you how you choose to do this! I personally shade with thin zig zag-like lines using a darker color.

And don’t forget to keep the lighting in mind!!!

Step Five

Add the highlights to the hair using a lighter color. I usually use some sort of yellow for highlighting brown hair, but that’s also up to you!

Step Six

When finished with the hair, the next thing is the clothes. For this, I used a very light pink for her T-shirt as the base color.

Step Seven
