Drawing Noelle from Genshin Impact

Hello everyone!

So I recently downloaded the game Genshin Impact and ever since then I’ve been wanting to draw one of the characters in it!

Which is why today I will be drawing Noelle from Genshin Impact!!

I really like Noelle because she has a cool design and she’s very fun to use in battle! So let’s get into the drawing part!!

The Drawing Part

First, I drew a rough sketch of Noelle. I was having a lot of trouble getting the mouth right, for some reason. I’m pretty sure I was stuck on that part for about ten minutes. I also had Noelle holding the peace sign up, even though I probably overuse that pose.

When it came to drawing the roses in Noelle’s hair I was struggling to get them to look like roses, so in the end I just decided to move on to somehting else.

After the sketch, I move on to the line work. I am using Procreate for this, and I use the studio pen. One thing I don’t really like about Procreate is that their brushes are really pixelated, but I guess you just have to make do.

I usually use Procreate for my digital paintng because for some reason I really like their paint brushes. For other things, though, I use Clip Studio Paint or Ibis Paint x.

After I finished the line art, I changed the color a bit and then moved on to the coloring part.

When I was coloring, I kept switching between the paint brushes and the airbrushes because they help me get the effect I’m looking for.

As I work on the hair, I try to make the brushes fade a bit to give it a better transition. I like to keep all of my coloring on one layer most of the time, bt I had to add a new one to add the highlights in the hair.

When I looked at Noelle’s eyes, I realized that she had three different variations of green: a yellow-green, grass green, and a dark green.

I particularly enjoyed drawing Noelle’s outfit. I kind of gave it a painty look to it.

After finishing, I lower the opacity on the line art and then add the background using some of the special brushes with Procreate.

I had a lot of fun drawing Noelle and will be most likely drawing another character from the game again! I hope you enjoyed reading this post!!
