Drawing myself

Today I’m going to change up my site’s icon because I just didn’t really like it.

I will be doing this one digital because I thought it would be fun, so I am using Clip Studio Paint for this.

The Art Stuff!

When I was sketching my drawing, I knew I wanted it to be in front view, like it always is. I tried my best to make it look good, but I think I made the eyes a tad too small.

For my line art, I was struggling to keep the lines clean and not as messy, because I tend to have trouble doing that most of the time. Also, I just recently started using Clip Studio Paint, so I’m kind of new to using it.

When I colored the hair, I tried to keep the base color fairly dark, but at the same time, not too dark, if that makes any sense. I have relatively dark hair, and it always kills me when there are hardly any colors I can use for shading. After that, though, I made some highlights and then used the blending tool to blend it in. Recently, I’ve been trying not to use too many layers in my drawing and not to lower the opacity of my highlight layers like I usually do, so instead, I just blended it out.

The clothes were pretty simple; I thought about keeping my shirt blue, like always, but for some reason, I just felt the urge to make it purple, so that’s what it ended up being.

For the eyes, I have a dark brown color. I added a ton of highlights because I really like shiny, detailed eyes!

For the skin, I went in with the base color and then used an airbrush to shade it. I don’t know why; it just sort of gives it a cool effect.

So here’s the final result!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post! Ciao!
