I draw your oc—3

Hello, everyone! This week I will be drawing another one of my readers’ original characters.

This week’s character is Audrey by ABear5.

I am excited to experiment with the different kinds of poses I could draw Audrey in!

Deciding her pose was pretty simple. I knew I wanted her to be in the dark, scared, since Audrey is afraid of the dark. I decided I would have her in a creepy house or something like that, searching for a way out. Or at least, that’s what I was hoping it would look like.

I have Audrey looking to the right, with a small source of light coming from the left just to make the shading on the hair more interesting.

When I drew the lineart, I didn’t really add many line variations, just to keep things simple since I was going to spend a lot of time on coloring this piece.

After lineart, I went on to coloring Audrey. I was adding a lot of different shading and highlights. Overall, I think this part probably took me about an hour to complete.

Next I color the background. I painted a small mirror on the wall just to make it clear that she’s inside somewhere, since you probably can’t tell just from the wall alone.
