Drawing Ayaka from Genshin Impact

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to be drawing Ayaka from the game Genshin impact, along with a special announcement. (Read on to find out what it is!)

I have been wanting to draw Ayaka frm Genshin Impact for some time now, so I couldn’t wait to get started on this project.

The Drawing Part!

For the sketch, I have a closeup of Ayaka’s face. I was debating on whether or not I wanted her hands in the picture, but I decided against it.

For the line art I am using the technical pen in Procreate with a high stabilization. I also fix minor things in my sketch. I like to put my line art on several different layers because it makes it easy to color.

After I finished the line art, I changed the background color to a lavender color. I tried to keep in mind Ayaka’ color scheme so that the background didn’t look out of place. (At first, it was green)

Moving on to coloring!

I fill in the base colors with a paint brush and then use various other brushes such as airbrushes and caligraphy brushes to shade.

For Ayaka’s hair, I shaded it with blues and purples set at 50% opacity. I then color her outfit. (I am using the Genshin Impact fashion archive for all this, by the way)

Then, for the background, I use a cloud brush and place it in random places.
