I draw your oc—8

Today, I’ll be drawing another one of my readers’ original characters! You always seem to like it when I do this, so I thought I’d do it again.

Choosing OCs

Normally I would choose the characters randomly, but that day I wasn’t feeling like choosing randomly. I wanted to draw something in my comfort zone, so I chose the character this time.

The character I chose was Angelica.

Angelica has angel attributes. She also has healing powers.

There isn’t much to go on in this one other than she’s an angel with healing powers, but I’ll try my best!

Drawing Process

When I first saw Angelica, I pictured her flying in the clouds. Because of this, I decided to draw her somewhere in the sky, maybe watching birds or something. I now realize there wasn’t too much thought other than “angel/clouds/flying”.

Once I finished the sketch, I began painting. I created a new layer under the sketch and lowered the sketch’s opacity to paint the skin and eyes.

I then started sculpting the face more. I used paint to define the nose more. I also made the colors more saturated later on.

After I painted the skin and eyes, I moved on to her hair. Angelica has golden hair, and I tried to make it as vibrant as possible. I added highlights to it to make it extra shiny, too!

Next, I quickly painted the outfit. Angelica’s clothes are very simple, so that didn’t take too long.

Then, I painted the background in, added some touch-ups, and finished.
