Drawing myself as a genshin impact character

Welcome to today’s post: Drawing Myself as a Genshin Impact Character!

For a long time now, I’ve been wanting to draw myself in this wonderful game, so I was really happy when this idea was suggested.

When coming up with my charcater’s design, I kept in mind that I wanted it to have Pyro element. (Fire)

So I pulled up pictures of pyro characters in the game and started from there. I went more along the style of Amber or Xiangling and less alog the lines of Klee or Yan Fei. At first, I wanted to be one of the Favonious Knights, but there was already a pyro in there, and I didn’t want to mess up the whole thing.

I drew myself sort of flying, because I thought it would look cool, and later on I decide to add fire effects like Diluc’s summon art.

Genshin Impact characters are always so detailed, so I tried my best to make my character seem that way, too. I just love the art in that game…

Anyway, next I did the line art. There wasn’t too much line variation there, which made my job easier. I had fun working on the hair because, for some reason, I like it when a character’s hair is blowing in the wind.

The boots were fun to draw. I really like their design. One thing I was having trouble with, though, was her gloves. For some reason, they just didn’t look right at all, so I kept trying about twelve times before I finally decided to just leave it as it is.

After line art, I went on to coloring my character. I also found myself a template of the Genshin Impact summon art background, which I thought was pretty cool. The eyes were quite hard, though, because I was trying to make them look as cool and detailed as Genshin Impact’s art actually is. I pretty much failed at that.

Effects and Stuff

After coloring my character, I went on to effects. I applied a reddish gradient to her and then created this kind of fire aura thing around her. I was using Diluc’s summon art for that, since I was having a little trouble myself.

After that, I edited in my information, and voila! I’m finished. Just for fun, though, I did add myself into a wish banner…

Overall, I had tons of fun doing this, and I hope you liked my art!!
