Christmas art (2022)

Merry Christmas!

Christmas has always been my favorite holiday, so I thought I would share some Christmas art with you all!

The character I decided to draw was one that I’ve been drawing quite a lot recently in preparation for a Webtoon collaboration project with a fellow creator. The Webtoon is expected to come out anywhere from five months to a year from now, so stay tuned for more updates on that! Now, let’s get back to the post!

The character is named Blue, and as you might’ve guessed, she is called that because of her eye color!

My Thoughts

I was going for very bright colors for this illustration, so I used more saturated colors instead of the usual ones I use!

I remember at some point wanting to draw Blue as an elf or something, but instead, I decided to just make her some kind of traveler in the alpines or something! I also outlined the shaded areas with an even darker color to make them stand out more!

One thing I wish I had done better on was the background. I was seriously short on time for making this, so I used a lot of Clip Studio materials to make the process quicker. This resulted in a low-quality background that wasn’t very full and interesting.

Overall, I think it is a good drawing, but I do wish I had drawn a more dynamic pose as I did for Halloween. But I hope you all like it!!
