From Sketch to Finish: My Self-Portrait

First, I made a colored doodle of myself. I took heavy inspiration from the works of bluebiscuits, and used one of her illustrations as reference for the pose.

Next I painted over the whole thing with an oil paint brush, adding more variation in color and pushing the lighting more.

Then I continue to paint over everything, fixing any mistakes I see and experimenting with different angles and shapes. I also added a simple background with a washed-out watercolor look and some sparkles here and there to complete the piece.
